Based on our sources, the Honor Play is one of the first smartphones to house the Turbo GPU for marvelous gaming and all-around performance. Moreover, the Notch display is one of the key highlights as well as the biggest panel with sunlight legibility coming at an average level. Wednesday 6 June was an official Huawei Honor Play release date, as mentioned in an official teaser which gives emphasis to the concept of a groundbreaking 4D gaming experience.

How much does it cost? Perhaps a very next question which pops-up on your mind, right? The Honor Play Price starts from CNY 1,999 (roughly $300) for its 4GB variant, whereas an upper 6GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,399 (around $361). The Honor Play is currently available in Black, Blue, and Violet color options.

The Honor Play is a mixer of Plastic and Metal – both components arrived together to form this sleek looking beauty. The Huawei Honor Play houses 2 antenna lines too – one on top and the other one at the bottom corner. If you are quite shy to show your face, a fingerprint scanner has got you covered.

Very much unlike Honor 9i and Honor 10, Honor Play houses a different camera placement. It reminds us of what we saw in Huawei P20 – vertically positioned on the top left corner along with LED flash underneath. The phone weighs 176 grams and measures 7.5 mm in thickness. It’s available in 3 sensational colors – Black, Blue, and Violet (as mentioned above).

The brain behind Honor Play is HiSilicon Kirin 970 which is still in control with an Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. Interestingly, with 10mn process technology, the 8-Cores of processor clocks at a fast speed of 2.4GHz. In the graphics segment, the Mali-G72 MP12 arrives with GPU Turbo tech.

In terms of RAM, there’re 2 different variants – one with 6GB of RAM and the other one with 4GB of RAM. Whether you go for 6GB or 4GB, a 64GB of onboard memory remains the same. However, you can upgrade it up to 256GB via microSD card.

The Honor Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Either it’s upgradable to Android P 9.0 or not, it’s a mystery.
